Ibrahim remembers like it was yesterday when his grandad told him about the best yoghurt he ever tasted when on a long weekend getaway with his parents in the Saharayayla (Sahara Plateau) in the Black Sea region of Turkey. “A small town family owned business was selling small containers of plain yoghurt to those passing by. People gathered around, laughing, smiling, enjoying every spoonful”, Ibrahim recalls. “My grandfather wanted to be a part of that”.

The story stuck in his mind, and years later, Ibrahim knew it would serve its purpose in honouring someone he loved and missed dearly. “Sahara pays homage to my and every grandfather around, past and present. His memory lives on.”
